Lady Gaga History

Lady Gaga’s background and history is a very long and complicated story.  She was born with the name Stefanni Germanotta as the eldest child of Italian parents in 1986.  This young lady is enormously talented, learning to play the piano by ear at the age of 4.  She wrote her first piano ballad at the age of 13 and was performing in New York clubs at the tender age of 14.  Her genius gets forgotten when people get caught up in her antics like when Lady Gaga dressed up in a meat dress or when she wore high heels that didn’t have heels, or when they see some of her bizarre fashions like Lady Gaga’s bubble dress.  When  she was 17 she got early admission to NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts where she got the knack of artistic expression very quickly, so quickly that she left before she could graduate at the age of 19 to pursue her musical career.  Her father gave her a year’s rent and made her promise that if she wasn’t successful she would return to college.  She rented the cheapest apartment she could find and through a series of events.  She was signed by La Reid at Def Jam when he heard her singing in the hallway.  She was dropped after 3 months.

However, Def Jam introduced her to Red One a musical producer , who they also managed.  Red One became instrumental in developing Lady Gaga’s musical style.  After spending time with Red One and producer Rob Fusari, she got the name Lady Gaga.  It was due to a botched text message she received from Fusari.  Lady Gaga was always in the habit of introducing herself as Radio Gaga due to the influence of an artist called Queen’s song called “Radio GaGa”.  Rob sent her a text that accidentally auto corrected Radio Gaga to Lady Gaga and thus a star was born.  She texted him back and said to never call her Stefani again but Lady Gaga.

Lady Gaga has had no trouble staying relevant due to her antics that horde media attention.  She has been compared to Madonna who was also very well known for similar attention getting antics.
